The Reference and Information Department at the Southington Library provides both in-house and telephone informational assistance. We help patrons with questions on any topic imaginable — from local history to antique prices, medical information to automobile repairing. Reference Collection
An extensive array of scholarly books filled with facts and figures for your research needs.

Local History Collection
Southington’s long history comes alive at the library. Our special collection includes city directories, annual reports of the town, Southington High School yearbooks, and descriptions of houses currently listed with the National Register of Historic Homes. 

Databases & Microform
Many of our online databases contain the full-text of magazines, journals, and newspapers. Our microfilm collection of The Southington Observer, The Record Journal, and The New York Times supplements our online resources.

Interlibrary Loan
Looking for a book, DVD, or book-on-tape that our library does not own? No problem. Simply call or stop by the Reference Desk, and we will try to obtain the item for you from another library in
Connecticut.
